Felicity Jones is an British actress who is most well-known because of her role as Jane Hawking in the critically well-reviewed movie The Theory of Everything. Jones has worked in films, plays and television from the age of 12. Her first role was in The Treasure Seekers, a film on television. In The Worst Witch she played Ethel Hallow. Then came Weirdsistersisters, a sequel to The Worst Witch. The character she played was Young Ruth as her debut film Flashbacks of a Fool. In the following years, she was in various films. The actress gained acclaim for her role in films including The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The role she played in The Theory of Everything earned her an Oscar nod for the first. Jones received a lot of praise for her performance as Hawking's former wife. This film based upon the life story of Stephen Hawking. The film was followed by Inferno which was a horror film that starred Tom Hanks. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her outstanding talent and contribution in cinema.
